You can still get cast iron. Coating it with veggie oil and baking it a few times is almost as slick as teflon. Wash with hot water and no soap. Soaking in water is OK
Baked enamel/ porcelain cast iron works good too. [Not great for frying..use oil seasoned iron for that, great for pots] Got strong wrists? That stuff is heavy.
