Nickel allergy--------just don't know if it is leaching into foods
cooked in stainless steel or not, but it could be?
Too clumsy for glass pans, haven't seen any nice porcelain cookware for
a long time either, that is what I used for many years, but they do
chip, and mine got too chipped to continue with. So went to stainless
steel. In trying to construct a timeline for the worsening of certain
allergy symptoms, began to wonder if the SS is a problem for me.
I do have known nickel allergy.

P.S. I don't use tomatoes anymore, my husband is allergic to them, and I
gave them up when it seemed like the nightshade veg make my joint pain
worse......no worry about acids in aluminum if you don't cook acid
foods. LOL.

went-------right into the spaghetti sauce!
So yesterday I went into one of the local grocery stores that caters
to the Latino population in the nearby county seat. I was amazed to
see a display of aluminum cookware. You're right, Sol; these "pure"
aluminum pans haven't been on the market for a few decades.
I'm sorry that I didn't pay much attention to it, all I noticed was a
Spanish sounding name for the manufacturer. These pots and pans were
in the aisle with the hispanic specialty foods, so maybe an ethnic
market would be the place to look.
But I'm still scratching my head over the idea that you'd actually
WANT to cook with aluminum!
