How much comes out in water, or in a frypan? My still is made of stainless, and when the pot is clean I get 0.4 PPM TDS. I wonder how much of that is nickel and chromium?

Stainless Steel contains chromium and nickel. Nickel is toxic, and can actually eat holes in your stomach, and chromium can be in two forms. The trivalent and hexavalent. Apparently according to the movie "Erin Brockovich" ( http://www.mindfully.org/Water/Chromium-4800-Systems-Test.htm ) trivalent is not too bad but the hexavalent form is horribly toxic to animals and humans.
