My mother has tried emu oil and swears by it that it took her aching pain in
her thigh away. However, this was only temp. relief. You need to keep
applying it which mean buying more of it.

You might want to check-out Emu oil. I have heard it raved about but not
personally tried it.

Sorry I have no experience dealing with scarring. Did you try the
obvious remedies--vitamin E oil, and scar salves/remedies available over
the counter?
