The most common formula for compounding the scar lotion is simply two ounces
of camphorated oil, one-half teaspoon of dissolved or melted lanolin, and one
ounce of peanut oil. It is suggested that the oil be used daily until the scar
has become so faint that it can hardly be noticed.
