One question for you: is the book hardback? Paper? Spiral bound? JBB I was going to shut up about the book, but you have made doing that unbearable. Although Bob's book is too large to email, it would fit on a CD if he could get it burnt. Then he could just send out the CDs, even overseas, for fewer dollars for paper and postage. Even if it ran to three CDs, it's cheaper. (My family history stuff for the rellies, including photos and PDF manuscripts, does run to three CDs - am currently posting it around the world. I will be doing a printout in a couple of weeks to take to Wales, and have no idea how heavy that suitcase is going to be! For love, not money.)
Also, the basic edition could be updated or added to as he sees fit, and Edition 1, 2, 3 etc. sent out without outlay and energy on producing hard copy. If the CD contained the documents as PDF files, it can't be copied and pasted by most people. That might be a consideration in some cases. Plagiarism.
