Sorry, Jim. I have never heard of .9999 silver cookware. Probably too soft,
not practical. I am sure that it would have been used historically. I have
only known it to be used for serving. ie plates, creamers, etc.

silver cookware? Expensive? Sure, but it is a viable investment at present.
How does . 0.999 handle? The handle(s) could be SS. There could be a SS or CI
cradle for the thing to prevent banging it up on the stovetop.

Maybe that would be enough, and we could get enough just from our normal
cooking. Couldn’t hurt, and might be all most need most of the time.

  Any thoughts?

While surfing the net to see if I could find out if anodized steel has the
same inherent problems as the others, I came across a site that has stainless
steel frying pans:

I also saw a site that describes Teflon as a serious killer of birds such as
canaries, parrots, and others exposed to it. But the official FDA site stated
in no uncertain terms that Teflon is safe at the temps people usually cook at.
(Of course. I suppose Dupont and other Teflon makers are as big in lobbying
as the aspartame industry.)
