Hi Marshall, thanks for your reply.
I had all of the classic herx symptoms, only more pronounced. According
to the sources I've come across, the onset time frame varies and is
dependent on many factors.
(from http://www.silver-colloids.com/Pubs/herxheimer.html)
------------
Time Frames
There is differing data on the timing of a Herxheimer reaction. Some
data indicates that it usually occurs between four and 24 hours from the
onset of treatment. Others note that between Day 3 and Day 5 of a
treatment program is often when the reaction is most noticeable. What
appears to be most accurate is that reaction times -- /and indeed
whether there will be any reaction at all/ -- are strictly dependent on
the individual being treated. Duration of the reaction also varies
widely, from an hour or a few hours to days or even a week.

I am not claiming that CS was the direct reason I developed the blood
clot, especially given my genetic Factor V status, but I do believe in
cause and effect and I do believe I must have some serious pathogens
that didn't like me killing them off. My doctor prescribed the
antibiotics as that is standard treatment for phlebitis.

Hi Everyone and Happy 4th of July,
I'm wondering if anyone on this list has any knowledge about the
interaction of EIS on someone with thick blood, namely, me.
I carry the Factor V Leiden gene which makes my blood prone to
hypercoagulability, ie. thick blood.
About 2 weeks ago, I drank 6-8 oz. of 15ppm EIS over a period of
several hours. 2 days afterwards, I had an extreme Herx reaction, to the
point my wife took me to the ER we were so worried - high fever, chills,
trembling, severe headache, delirious..
Are you sure it was a herx. Normally a herx will take place immediately after
taking CS, not two days later. Virtually all the silver should have been out
of the body after 2 days.
I was in rough shape. Of course
the ER docs couldn't understand why I would ingest a silver solution and
due to lack of knowledge, called poison control to get more information
on the effects. They ended up giving me an IV in my left arm for saline
solution and something for the pain. 4 days later, I developed phlebitis
(superficial blood clot) in my left arm. Treated with aspirin and
antibiotics, I seem to be getting better but then this last Friday, I
experience tingling in my left hand and numbness. Another trip to the ER
and lo and behold, I now have my first case of DVT in my arm. I'm now on
heparin shots and coumadin and hoping this is the end of the cascading
effects I've experienced over the past several weeks.
I am not certain what caused this. Why do you suspect it was CS?
Based on my extreme herx reaction, logic tells me that I must have some
serious pathogens making their home in my blood. I did some research and
found that yes, the fibrin layer coating the vessel walls due to my
thick blood makes
excellent hiding places for pathogens and makes treating them all the
more difficult. I'm thinking that their response to my EIS assault was to
create an even more hypercoagulable state as their line of defense. An
IV needle was just the thing to trigger a clot.
I doubt it was a herx reaction. Apparently the doctors do not believe it was
a herx reaction either, since they gave you antibiotics, which if you had
pathogens causing a herx with CS, would have caused a herx with antibiotics
as well (unless we are talking about a virus).
Has anyone heard or come across any research or similar experiences with
EIS on someone with a similar history and/or extreme herx reactions that
trigger more than the flu-like symptoms that are common? This is war and
I'm not
going to let these bacteria and viruses win. Any help would be greatly
appreciated.
I have never heard of a herx reaction occuring more than a few hours after
taking CS.
