Thanks. Interesting numbers. Much lower than I expected.

I am really surprised. It shouldn't be that touchy. I'd think you
should easily get 20uS with no problem. Getting past 22uS is a bit
  more difficult.

I really can tell the difference when it gets below about 18uS. The
Shingles starts twitching and tingling. But you are going to be very
surprised when I get around to telling you about the experiments I
did to measure sublingual absorption. You won't believe it.

I pour some isopropyl alcohol in and swish it around, then wipe with
a tissue. Rinse with dw and let it dry. Then never touch it again
  with fingers.

I rarely use H2O2 any more since I found it contains phosphoric acid
and other stabilizers that can leave contamination on things. BTW, I
bought a small bottle of 85% to see if it would dissolve silver or
silver hydroxide. It cost $20.00, which is a lot right now, so I had
to eat boiled potatoes for a couple of days. It had no effect on
silver. Apparently it needs to work with H2O2.

Hmm.. I usually wipe the cathode a bit just after the brew. I'll try
your way and see what happens.

So am I. Obsession is a good habit with cs. Essential, in fact.

  Thanks, sol. Very good info.
