Yeah, that's true. I am in the same boat with my kids right now. I think they
have been overmedicated with antibiotics in the past month. I'm trying
desperately to get them under control and then keep them healthy so I won't
have to go through this. Apparenty my oldest goes into a bronchitis/asthma
attack within hours of having a sneezing/allergy attack and our pediatrician
and I have to work fast or else we end up in the hospital. So after a round of
antibiotics and other medicines, I hope I can be proactive and remember to give
the CS as a preventative if anything and keep her healthy before it gets that
far. So I agree about using antibiotics in some situations. She's also had
bad ear infections this month and I'm hoping we caught it soon enough that
there isn't any ear damage. So far she seems fine.

Yes, but what would have happened to you without the antibiotics? I know
it depends on the reason they were given, but.......Antibiotics per se
are not the enemy, it is improper, careless use of them for conditions
for which they are ineffective (colds for one) that are the problem. A
properly prescribed and dosed conventional antibiotic can be a life
saving treatment, as well as preventing certain types of permanent damage.

My son also had his baby teeth damanged by antibiotics, but for his
severe ear infection it certainly did work. I think he could have ended
up deaf or with brain infection had they not been used. For what it is
worth, that was 35 years ago, and I had no idea of CS or any other
alternative treatments at that time. But still his infection was so
sudden and so acute, I probably would not have messed around in any
case, even today, but today would certainly use CS right along with
conventional antibiotics.

So yeah, my kid had brown stained weak baby teeth, the alternative was
far worse. And the baby teeth fell out, and his permanent teeth have
been fine.
