I,too have been on Protonix, Nexium Cymbalta, etc. etc. etc..... I refuse to take any more of them. Am trying to use alternative therapies for my problems. Unfortunately, due to the structure of my bowel, I am not having much success in getting rid of my upper right burning pain, or my lower right tightness and burning pain. Think the second may be due to adhesions. Trouble is , I am elderly , and it takes a lot of time to soften up adhesions. At least that is what my chiropractor tells me. My MD is recommending a resection of my bowel. I am going in to talk with a surgeon about this next Friday with my daughter along. My question is, how would he know what part to take out, can't tell ahead of time, it seems. And more adhesions will surely form, same story , second verse, and how do we know that the rest of my bowel will behave any better than the original after the surgery. I'm will ing to explore this to find out what all would be involved for living arrangements, etc. in case the whole thing just shuts down sometime. Things seem to be worsening. I can't use the bentonite clay and psyllium the chiropractor recommends because it just clogs me up worse and quicker and I have to take more enemas. Ruth

Subject: CS>So many stomach complaints
Date: Wed, 13 Sep 2006 23:29:12 -0700 (PDT)

I have read so many letters lately from the list that has complaints of stomach problems, has anyone tried to use natural enzymes and replace what may have been stripped from other things? I know buttermilk,,warm in a small glass lightly salted is ok> and yogurt are 2 biggies,<yoplait works and tastes pretty good> also the health sections of most stores will have things like papaya enzymes, these are wonderful after a stomach virus has run through, maybe your stomachs are stripped of thier natural enzymes and they need to be replaced. Just a thought, hope it helps someone. Godspeed all, Lisa.
