I am running SIMS 1.8b8 on a PowerCenter Pro 180. Recently, it has been crashing frequently when under a heavy load. Per a suggestion on this list, I installed Macsbug and generated a StdLog.
To my untrained eyes, this looks the relevant section of the StdLog: "WARNING: One or more heaps may be corrupt. Use HC ALL (Heap Check) for a thorough check. "Checking all heaps The System heap at 00002800 is ok The ROM read-only heap at 00010160 is ok The Process Manager heap at 00D9CD20 is bad This block's back pointer doesn't point to the previous block. Block header 050EC1A0 32A8 046E 32AC 046E 32B0 046E 32B4 046E 2n2n2n2n The CommuniGator heap at 03CCC970 is ok The SIMS-PPC heap at 046CE9A0 is ok" Does a bad heap mean bad memory?
