OK, I'll read the ifconfig manual and see if I understand what to 
type (these unix manuals kind of read like this to me: "...the 
parphen of the futumpen-schnutzel is used to beluvicate the woofbang, 
where the woofbang must be specified as a heffalump string with a 
jellyfish...")
