For me as well. I've settled on using ORDB for an open relay RBL. It seems to have just about the right balance to not block too much legitimate mail. There's only one server that legit mail gets blocked from for me, and that server is in almost all of the open relay blacklists. I'm sure the ISP that runs it is aware of it but, so far, they don't seem particularly interested in fixing it. > However, you can instead use spamhaus.relays.osirusoft.com as your > RBL. It lists known active spamming operations, so it's necessarily more focused than the open relay lists and less prone to listing servers that could also be transmitting legitimate mail along with the spam. Yes, I've notice that the rbcheck.cgi has been quite slow for at least the last week or so. Sometimes it returns results fast enough to be usable (i.e. under a minute or so), sometimes it times out before returning results.
