You have to close it. Go to SMTP settings and ensure "Relay >for Clients Only" is turned on.
And make sure you upgrade from v1.7 (if that is what you are running) to v1.8b8. The 1.7 version is subject to the % hack relay. As a side note, it looks like AOL is testing my server every week or two to see if it is an open relay.
