"Problems" is sufficient.
The fact that you're not seeing an authentication error in the logs I
guess means, that either Eudora is not attempting to use SMTP AUTH, or
that beta of SIMS is accepting it as valid but failing to act properly act
on it.
Of course I'm somewhat biased to expect the fault lies in your client and
not SIMS :-)
If Eudora was passing bad credentials you'd see:
01:29:29 1 SMTP {AccountName} AUTH failed: password(PlainTextPassword) is
wrong. Connection from [xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx:63943]
>Actually, I just copied the users folder from the old to the new
>machine, so the information of passwords stored in the user file
>should not have changed (and otherwise, I would not be able to read
>my mails anyway).
Well and again, if it was a password issue, you see the above line in the
log. There's still something odd here though.
In my case even though the SMTP AUTH failed with the buggy client, the
mail went through fine, because I'd checked the account first. I only saw
the event above because I was looking for it as part of beta testing.
Unless it's just because there's more than 45 seconds between your Check
and Send, you shouldn't be being rejected on your sends unless there's a
blacklist issue at work here.
>>Did send after check fail too?

>Send wafter check works, but it is cumbersome.
Well yes, but it's a worthy troubleshooting step.
The only other test I'd try is letting the 45 seconds elapse, then set a
purposely bad password in Eudora and try a send. If you get a log entry
like above, you know that Eudora is attempting to use SMTP AUTH, and the
fault is in SIMS. If you still don't get such a log entry, then the fault
is in Eudora and you have to determine why it's failing to try SMTP AUTH.
