No, but for different reasons.

In our test runs of various RBLs (more than a month for each), they stopped
exactly two pieces of mail, both legitimate, from personal contacts of our
users.

RBLs have a history of being run by cranks and or kooks with personal
agendas (that do not coincide with my own). Non-spammers get added to the
various lists for reasons that not even the list owners will explain.

Getting off a list to which you were incorrectly added to is non-trivial.
That was my experience with MAPS and the DUL (despite the fact that my
upstream stated that the address they blacklisted was non-portable and ht
resolved to my registered domain), the 'professional' outfit in this field.
The amateur ones are more random.

The concept isn't so bad and I personally use a blacklist that I place
addresses in, but the reality of an eternal RBL is such that it requires me
to trust the judgement of strangers who have demonstrated questionable
judgement.

The more sophisticated SIMS and other MTAs get in using these tools, the
more they seem legitimized, which I can't support given my experiences with
them. SIMS provides more than enough power for those who want to use RBLs.

If I get a vote, I vote for unsexy things, like updating the docs or
getting 1.8 released. Adding more control to RBLs is like adding more
frills to a tutu on a pig; it just doesn't make it a ballerina. You want
to dance with it, fine, but I don't think it should be a priority of
Stalker's.
