I use and swear by Mailsmith from Bare Bones Software (the folks who also
bring us BBEdit). If you're comfortable working with BBEdit, you'll be
right at home with Mailsmith. It does your multiple accounts, plus it's got
about the best filtering I've seen and excellent AppleScript support (if
the app doesn't do it natively, you can more than likely script it). It
doesn't do IMAP, though, so if you need that, you'll want to look
elsewhere. For spam filtering, I also use a third-party Bayesian filter
(similar to what Apple's Mail in Jaguar does), called SpamSieve, that
Mailsmith calls through a filter action.
