According to http://www.eudora.com/techsupport/kb/1593hq.html , Eudora 4.3 and later support CRAM-MD5 directly without the above modifications: "Eudora 4.3 and later supports the CRAM-MD5, LOGIN, and PLAIN encryption methods of SMTP Authentication. If you need to turn authentication on, go to Tools: Options: Getting Started: and check "Allow Authentication". " So, if I set SIMS to 'Advertise AUTH' and set Eudora to "Allow Authentication", how can I be sure Eudora will use CRAM-MD5 and not LOGIN or PLAIN?
