I seem to have been last subscribed in January of 2000 and I'm running version 1.7 of
SIMS, copyright 1997-1998.
Not bad for free software that has seen a fair amount of traffic throughout !!
What brought me back on list:
I was just told that my server failed the latest relay tests, allowing a message with
"BAD HEADER Improper folded header field made up entirely of
whitespace (char 00 hex) in message header 'X-Envelope'"
Since it passed all the tests about 9 months ago I assume this is a new exploit ?
Other than upgrading to a newer version of SIMS, is there a way to close the hole ?
Many thanks for any help,
-Sven
