Hi Michael, to answer one question:
Have you made changes to the regression test organization? I might need to.
I have (of course in the git repo!) fixed a bug in regression test, also added some new tests outside of the code regression test and too made some in Makefile.am and configure.ac. So, if you call "make check" from root, the whole test suite will run. To run the opcodes tests only you have to go to regress directory and there: "make regression".
