We are trying to implement a accounting software for SIP base VoIP calls.
The problem that we are facing is how to collect QoS data based on RTCP
reports for unicast sessions.
Question-

Is it really needed to gather the actual QoS information for the call or is
it enough to gather the information provided by resource reservation
protocols during call setup?

It may seem logical to gather the actual QoS data as the QoS may degrade
during the call? or is such a ganularity not needed?

Any pointers will be most welcome..
