I think there is a lot of confusion between loose routing
and strict routing. I am a little confused too!
Please can someone confirm that these 4 statements are correct:
1. RFC3261 defines "loose routing"
2. To use "loose routing" you must use the "lr" parameter.
3. Put an another way, if you don't use the "lr" parameter,
you're NOT using the loose routing.
4. If you don't use the "lr" parameter, you are using
"strict routing" and the routing rules in RFC3261
do not apply.
So this also leads me to a question regarding "strict routing".
RFC3261 states:
Strict Routing: A proxy is said to be strict routing if it follows
the Route processing rules of RFC 2543 and many prior work in
progress versions of this RFC.
So my question is... which bis of RFC2543 gives the
most correct specification of "strict routing"?
