Well, I'm not going to comment on specific implementations, but let's be clear on basic concepts.
The UAS generates ringtones; not some other entity. To most people, distinctive ring is a choice the UAS makes based on the identity of the caller. The UAC may express its preference using ALERT-info, but the UAS is not obligated to honor it. While we are at it, Ringback in most systems is a UAC function. The UAS could indicate its preference using ALERT-info, but the UAS is not obligated to honor it.
