Hi *, I have query related to the ACK send for unsuccessful response. ACK is send as hop by hop for the received unsuccessful response.ie consider the following scenario, UA1----->PROXY1------>PROXY2------>UA2 Now when UA2 send 486 busy then PROXY2 sends the ACK back to UA2 and then forwards the 486 busy to PROXY1 and PROXY1 does the same. How the proxy is able to generate a ACK in this case? and how it will know that ACK has to send to that particular destination? is it based on the source IP and port from where the message is received?
