Hi Vivek, As you may have proxy in the network which would have responded back with 100 Trying and in turn have started timer C. Proxy will terminate both legs of the call, if there is no response to the request it has forwarded before timer C expire.
Also at UAC level you can have expire header in INVITE which can run timer at UAC to wait for response else drop the request. UAC application shall start the timer and move the transaction to "terminated" state when the timer expires. What should happen if no response ( 18X or 2xx or 3xx ) comes back to Invite Client who is in Proceeding state? Should the Invite Client goes back to "Calling" state or should it go to "Terminated" state? I couldn't find this information in rfc 3261. I was wondering if anyone could share some information on this. Thanks, Vivek. _______________________________________________ Sip-implementors mailing list [email protected] https://lists.cs.columbia.edu/cucslists/listinfo/sip-implementors _______________________________________________ Sip-implementors mailing list [email protected] https://lists.cs.columbia.edu/cucslists/listinfo/sip-implementors _______________________________________________ Sip-implementors mailing list [email protected] https://lists.cs.columbia.edu/cucslists/listinfo/sip-implementors
