Adding Record-Route means that the proxy wants to be in the path of future in-dialog requests. This means that that proxy can perform load-balancing, consistency-checks on sip messages etc. for all SIP traffic, including in-dialog requests that without RR will get routed to other hops. It can also be used for topology hiding, flood attack detection etc. Marius _______________________________________________ Sip-implementors mailing list [email protected] https://lists.cs.columbia.edu/cucslists/listinfo/sip-implementors
