By adding privately-encoded information into record-route (or via
headers)
you can use it for whatever you want. (so the messages store state
information instead of storing it in the stateless proxy)

Subject: [Sip-implementors] regarding stateless proxy and record route.

Hello ,
I am very new to the SIP. I just read in RFC 3261 that stateless proxy
can add Record Route. Since the Stateless proxy does not maintain any
state , what is the significance of Record Route added by Stateless
Proxy.

Thanks
