Hi Nikolay! The system is doing exactly what it is supposed to do. This behavior was brought up at the time when I was planning localization changes. The default auto-attendant prompts are created (well - copied) at the build time and are not affected by the language setting on the Localization page. The reply I got when inquiring about the lack of the ability to localize these prompts was that these default prompts are in the majority of cases replaced by custom prompts anyway - thus not to worry about them.
If you replace the default prompts installed from the RPM, the new prompts will be always used - changing the language setting back to English makes no difference. The proper - or maybe the expected - way of changing the prompts to let's say Russian is to upload them as custom AA prompts. Cheers, Misha "Nikolay Kondratyev" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote in message news:[EMAIL PROTECTED] Dear All, Meanwhile I found that AA prompts are in the /var/sipxdata/mediaserver/data/prompts directory. Is it correct? At least if I copy autoattendant.wav from /usr/share/www/doc/stdprompts_ru to /var/sipxdata/mediaserver/data/prompts AA starts speak Russian. But when I set language (on localization page back to English, AA continued to speak Russian, while voice mail prompts returned back to English. Should the system copy files from /usr/share/www/doc/stdprompts_ru to /var/sipxdata/mediaserver/data/prompts automatically when applying the language? Am I doing something wrong? I created localization package containing just voice prompts, and the package is just tar file. Could it be something wrong with my system? The exact version is SIPxchange ECS (3.10.2-013153 2008-07-22T03:38:43 oem-centos5), it was upgraded from 3.10.1. I recorded about 70% of voice files in localized language. After installing localization package (just voice prompts) and applying the language I can hear voicemail system localized prompts. But I can not hear localized default autoattendant prompt. I checked that /usr/share/www/doc/stdprompts_ru/autoattendant.wav is ok (format and language). But when I listen autoattendant prompt through the ui or by dialing to the AA extention, I still hear the default English prompt. Can somebody please advise where to look for? I'm not sure if the snapshot will be useful in this case. Should I provide it? May be just one log file? Or may be you'll point me what records in which log file should I look for? Thanks in advance, Nikolay. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------
