Folks, I was testing the Counterpath CMC against sipXconfig and something isn't right. A couple issues: 1. In provisioning the client via sipXconfig you do this following the normal phone model where you enter a Serial Number (mac address). This doesn't work well for soft clients as we can't expect users to dig through CLI or windows networking menus to find this. 2. Even if you put the proper mac address into sipXconfig the Client asks for 3 parameters during provisioning. * User * Password * Server IP I am guessing the user/password is for the account I want to provision and the server ip is for the sipXconfig box? None of these work.
This was tested against 3.11.7-013842. Can anyone explain how they envisioned this to work? Lots of work has gone into this plug-in and I would expect there is a method to this madness :) Thanks, Al
