Hi All,
This query is regarding inviting "/n th/" person into the
established(running) Audio Conference through "@conf" directive.
My setup:
-----------
Precondition:
1.Create users 500,510,520 and 530.
Make these users as buddies to each other by putting all the users under
same user group.
2.Enable IM on user the user group and register to 4 pidgin clients
respectively.
3.Register any 4 hard phones with respect to users 500,510,520 and 530.
4.Create an Audio conference "Qantom" with the extension 1111 and assign
500 as the owner of the conference.
Procedure:
-------------
1.Establish a IM conference chat with users 500,510 and 520.
[Note: user 530 is NOT in the IM Conference Chat yet]
2.Initiate "@conf" by the owner of the conference.
3.All the phone associated with the users 500,510 and 520 rings at the
same to join the Audio conference.
4.Answer the call on all the users and establish an Audio Conference
among users 500,510 and 520.
Now after step 4,
The owner of the conference(user 500) thinks that user 530 should also
be involved in the IM conference chat. So,he selects user 530 available
on his buddy list and invites him to the IM conference chat(through
drag&drop method).
Later the owner(user 500) considers that user 530 should also be made
involved in the same running audio conference.
*My query*:
So here,
when owner initiate "@conf" command again on the IM Conference chat to
invite user 530 into the Audio Conference then the following current
behavior is observed.
*Current Behavior*:
-The invitation to join the Audio Conference will
reach /once again/ to all the participants /including/along with the
/the new member(user 530).
-The message "You are invited to join the qantom audio
conference - your phone will ring shortly" will be displayed /on the
users who are all already involved(500,510 and 520) in the "Qantom"
AUDIO conference./
-Presenting this message on the IM Conference chat
window of the members who are all ready involved in the "qantom" audio
conference /does not /sound good.
-All the participant's phone will ring again as a
consequence of initiating "@conf" command.
*Improvement request*:
Could it be also be made possible in such a way that
the " /Owner(user 500) can invite a single person into the running audio
conference through @conf command "/.
For example a command can be "@conf <user_im_id>".
OR
Make a provision in such a way that the ONLY the members joined in the
IM Conference chat but NOT yet involved in the Audio Conference should
get the invitation to join for the same audio conference.
Kindly please advise if I can raise an Improvement request accordingly.
Thanks in Advance,
Chitralekha.
