I have noticed that conference recordings are stored as wav files. Wav files are pretty huge. Could we stored them zipped? Practically every user has a unzip program.
The savings can be pretty impressive. I just compressed a wav file of size 4925280 corresponding to about 20 seconds or so of speech. The zip file was 79380 bytes. It should be pretty easy to implement this. Any opinions? Ranga -- M.
