I'll second all of the below... I've also used Castelle faxpress products for fax integration.
Typically when somebody talks Unified Communications they are really talking mostly about back-end mail system integration. Faxing is typically one component therein. Reporting typically isn't included. I guess Video may be included here but that's really more of a User Agent function. Regular conferencing server is coming in 4.x. Since we already had the Multitech, it gives us did-fax-to-email for under 600.00, and faxing from the desktop too. You already have video capabilities in sipx with a softphone and some hardphones have video. Video conferecning i a different beast altogether. As for the reporting aspect, I know Jasper reports are being worked on for the 4.0 release. The system is using a postgres db for the cdr's, so any custom reporting is available should you or someone want to tackle it or contribute a template when Jasper is integrated. As for budgeting and trunk utilization, that might be better left to the ITSP since they probably already provide that detail. >>> James Mutuku <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> 6/12/2008 1:14:10 PM >>> What about * Video conferencing * Fax integration * Budgeting * Reports per extension * Reports per trunk * Reports per branch * Budget utilization reports spread over 8 branches and 2 countries Also * sipx capability to handle 500 extensions Tony Graziano wrote: > OR > > if there was a way to have an imap server monitor the sipx user > mailstore and correctly interpret the xml files and use the same > credentials (user/pass), this would work across most any system (without > an Exchange server), and would also sync email with phone.
