I just got an email, copy in part below, that the PhoneEasy IP console is now
available directly from Nortel. It even mentions the SCS500 which I'm sure is
SipX based.
Does this mean that Nortel has tested PhoneEasy IP with Sipx and considers it
supported/good eneough for real deployments. That would be great! My customers
have been asking for this for quite sometime. I wonder what the pricing
structure will be.
I did download a demo of this software a few months back but nver got around to
playing with it.
Copied from email: >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>.
As of September 15th 2008 AdvaTel PhoneEasy IP Console and PhoneEasy
Desktop units are orderable not only through Telesource, but now
contracted Partners and Resellers can also order directly through
Nortel. Nortel recognizes the PhoneEasy products as important
technologies that compliment their SCS500 and BCM systems. The PhoneEasy
products integrate telephony, e-mail, text SMS, and calendar mining into
a single application for SCS500 and BCM users.
AdvaTel's Chairman and Managing Director, Michael Terry states, "AdvaTel
also takes great pleasure in being the first Unified Communications
