Does anyone have a working vitelity configuration that they can show me
(minus the username and password of course)? I have les.net working, but
my sipXecs 4 installation will not register with vitelity. Initially I
was using the template with my username and password added, but when
this didn't work I tried a few other things, but nothing has worked so
far. I did have vitelity working under trixbox using this configuration:

TrixBox inbound setup:

(I've replaced my username and password with [myusername] and [mypassword])

Trunk name: vitel-inbound

Peer Details:

type=friend
dtmfmode=auto
username=[myusername]
secret=[mypassword]
context=from-trunk ; (this could be ext-did or from-pstn as well)
insecure=very
canreinvite=no
host=inbound18.vitelity.net

Register String: [myusername]:[[email protected]:5060

TrixBox outbound setup:

Trunk name: vitel-outbound

Peer Details:

type=friend
dtmfmode=auto
username=[myusername]
secret=[mypassword]
fromuser=[myusername]
trustrpid=yes
sendrpid=yes
context=from-trunk ; (this could be ext-did or from-pstn as well)
canreinvite=no
host=outbound.vitelity.net

Register String: left blank

I've tried this in my sipXecs configuration:

1) Used sipXecs template supplied values for vitelity with my username
and password.

2) Same as 1, with the hostnames used in my previous trixbox configuration.

3) Same as 2 with my trixbox inbound register string set as asserted
identity (yes I cleared the appropriate check box).

4) Same as 3 with the ":5060" removed from register string and copied
into the "ITSP Registrar Listening Port" field.

5) I've varied all of the above by selecting "Use public address for
call setup", and "strip private headers".

I guess I just don't know how or if the TrixBox register string has any
direct equivalent in sipXecs.

The other thing I was wondering about is the use of port 5060 by
Vitelity. Does this mean I also need to use port 5060? My current router
has very limited capabilities when it comes to port redirection (inbound
redirection only), so remapping ports is likely to be a problem unless I
insert another router into the path just to do the port swapping
(normally I wouldn't consider this, but my current router has some
capabilities I need for other things).
