Hi,
I am running a sipX version 4.0 on a VMware server with an Aastra 53i phone for testing purposes. The phone is running firmware version 2.4.0.96. I am having some issues with tftp and getting the phone to pickup the configuration file <MAC>.cfg 1- I started by configuring a standard user "200" 2- Then I added the Aastra phone from the dropdown list. 3- Entered the MAC address 4- Added the line and then changed minor negligible settings like date format etc.... 5- I sent the profile to server and restarted any services that needed to be restarted. I Plugged the phone to the LAN and powered up. The phone displayed few messages on the screen and then all is done. BUT the phone never registered and doesn't seem to have downloaded the config file. When I went into the web UI and configured the Proxy server and line information the phone registered fine and could make outbound calls to PSTN. I went into the console and to /var/sipxdata/configserver/phone/profile/tftproot and changed few things and rebooted the phone few times without any success. Do we have to do any manual configuration here for tftp to work seamlessly off the bat? Any advice here is much appreciated. Thanks
