I'm just jumping back into the fray after digging in fairly deeply
back in May. I have to echo the above sentiment - at least back in
May the situation was perfectly dreadful, for all of the above-stated
reasons. Thank goodness for this list - but honestly, traffic could
be kept much lower here if those docs were updated. And that's in
part up to the people who benefit from the list. I'd have done my
part back then, but I had to dump the whole project. If I manage to
stick it out this time I'll be happy to write docs - it is one of the
things I am pretty good at. One thing I am pretty bad at, however, is
getting an overall view of a group of docs and organising them into
something that makes sense. I can make really good docs on individual
topics, but I fall apart when it comes time to put it together. I
think the project could really benefit from a professional
documentation expert.

Yup, it sure is. Someone needs to be gathering up this info and
putting it properly into the wiki.
