Alberto,

Here is what I've done to make two snom 360 (with the latest sw release) to
work.

My dhcpd.conf is:

[r...@sipx trace]# cat /etc/dhcpd.conf

authoritative;

ddns-update-style  none;

option sip-servers-name code 120 = text;

subnet 10.0.2.0 netmask 255.255.255.0 {

   range                        10.0.2.200  10.0.2.250;

   default-lease-time           43200;

   max-lease-time               43200;

   option routers               10.0.2.101;

   option subnet-mask           255.255.255.0;

   option domain-name           "sip.svgc.ru";

   option tftp-server-name      "sipx.sip.svgc.ru";

   option sip-servers-name      "sipx.sip.svgc.ru:12000/cmcprov/login";

   option domain-name-servers   10.0.2.103;

   option ntp-servers           10.0.2.103;

}

group {

   option tftp-server-name       "http://sipx.sip.svgc.ru:8090";;

   # option bootfile-name          "/phone/profile/docroot/{mac}.xml";

   option bootfile-name          "/phone/profile/docroot/snom360.xml";

   host snom1 { hardware ethernet 0:04:13:29:85:03; }

   host snom2 { hardware ethernet 0:04:13:29:84:fb; }

}

This is more convenient than setting fixed-address and tftp-server-name
option and bootfile-name option for each snom phone like in example on wiki
page.

Possibly there is a way to separate a snom phone using some other parameter,
without enumeration all snom mac addresses in the dhcpd.conf, that is for
future investigations:

Snom phones with 7xx firmware support Russian language.

To use Russian language I set bootfile-name to snom360.xml, which points to
common (for all snom 360 phones, for snom 300 there will be snom300.xml)
language files.

[r...@sipx docroot]# cat snom360.xml

<?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8" ?>

<setting-files>

 <file
url="http://sipx.sip.svgc.ru:8090/phone/profile/docroot/gui_lang.xml"/>

 <file
url="http://sipx.sip.svgc.ru:8090/phone/profile/docroot/web_lang.xml"/>

 <file url="http://sipx.sip.svgc.ru:8090/phone/profile/docroot/{mac}.xml"/>

</setting-files>

Gui_lang.xml and web_lang.xml are downloaded from the provisioning.snom.com
site and point to files with phrases in different languages.

[r...@sipx docroot]# cat gui_lang.xml

<?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8" ?>

<gui-languages>

  <language
url="http://sipx.sip.svgc.ru:8090/phone/profile/docroot/snomlang/gui_lang_CA
.xml" [^] name="Catalan" />

<language
url="http://sipx.sip.svgc.ru:8090/phone/profile/docroot/snomlang/gui_lang_CS
.xml" [^] name="Cestina" />

.

.

  <language
url="http://sipx.sip.svgc.ru:8090/phone/profile/docroot/snomlang/gui_lang_RU
.xml" [^] name="Russian" />

  <language
url="http://sipx.sip.svgc.ru:8090/phone/profile/docroot/snomlang/gui_lang_SK
.xml" [^] name="Slovencina" />

  <language
url="http://sipx.sip.svgc.ru:8090/phone/profile/docroot/snomlang/gui_lang_FI
.xml" [^] name="Suomi" />

  <language
url="http://sipx.sip.svgc.ru:8090/phone/profile/docroot/snomlang/gui_lang_SV
.xml" [^] name="Svenska" />

  <language
url="http://sipx.sip.svgc.ru:8090/phone/profile/docroot/snomlang/gui_lang_TR
.xml" [^] name="Turkce" />

</gui-languages>

gui_lang_RU.xml and other lang files are also downloaded from the snom site.

Thus I'm able to use Russian.

And in addition to that I added

          <option>

            <value>Russian</value>

          </option>

Into <setting name="web_language"> and  <setting name="language"> sections
of /etc/sipxpbx/snom/phone.xml file, and I'm able to configure Russian
language for my snom phones from sipX UI.

Hope somebody will find the above useful. Probably it should even be pasted
into wiki page:

Thanks and regards,

Nikolay.

Hi Nikolay,
you're right the wiki page was not updated accordingly after the last snom
plug-in update.
I should ask for permissions to update it.

What did you discover about dhcpd?

Alberto

Hi Alberto,

I pasted the line

<dkey_retrieve perm="R">speed 3663</dkey_retrieve>

Just before the

<!-- speeddial list -->

Line.

After resending phone profiles retrieve button works as expected - call to
3663 (that is my voicemail system number) occurs.

Thank you very much for the help!

By the way, I found that sipX wiki page regarding snom provisioning in not
quite good:

I configured dhcpd differently:

I could share my findings if you like to..

Thanks again,

Nikolay.

Hi Nikolay,
yes it is possible. Just leave the mwi configuration as is configured from
the sipxconfig snom plug-in. Then set for the function key RETRIEVE (right
now only from the phone web-ui) Type=Speed Dial and Number 101. This will
make the phone mwi work and the retrieve button call the voicemail.
In case you have many phones I suggest you to add the following line in
/etc/sipxpbx/snom/snom.vm
<dkey_retrieve perm="R">speed 101</dkey_retrieve>
I would add it just before the speed dial section. You will need of course
to regenerate your phone profiles.

I plan to add this on the next Snom plug-in update. Don't know yet if I will
add all function keys management from sipxconfig.

Let me know
Alberto

Hi all,

There is a "mailbox" configuration parameter in the snom phone.

And this parameter is used for both mwi subscription and voice mail
retrieving when pushing "retrieve" button on the snom phone (calling to
voicemail system).

But in case of sipX one should use his own number for mwi subscription and
another (systemwide) number for calling voicemail system:

Is it possible to make snom phone to call to voicemail system when pressing
retrieve button, while keeping correct mwi subscription? And I'd like to
configure a snom pnone through sipX plugin, not through it's own web
interface:

Has somebody encountered this problem?

Thanks in advance,

Nikolay.
