Folks, (Be advised that I may be misunderstanding how this is supposed to work... I am new, previously come from the Asterisk world where everything was "pixie dust"...)
I've setup DNS and DHCP according to http://sipx-wiki.calivia.com/images/0/0b/SipXecsDNSConcepts.pdf and the Aastra 57i handset boots, gets its configuration via TFTP, and such. The Aastra is being told to use my internal DNS, validated through the handset's web interface. Primary DNS is correct, secondary DNS is blank. My SRV records (_sip._tcp, _sip._tcp.rr, _sip._udp) are all setup correctly, that is they return proper weights/prios and hostname (pbx-1.domain.tld, which does have an A record). The Aastra 57i handset is trying to register with their extens...@domain, i.e. [email protected] but they are failing registration because domain.tld has a different IP than pbx-1.domain.tld. Isn't the handset supposed to look for the SRV record for the registration? If I change registration to [email protected], the phone registers just fine. -- Robert _______________________________________________ sipx-users mailing list [email protected] List Archive: http://list.sipfoundry.org/archive/sipx-users Unsubscribe: http://list.sipfoundry.org/mailman/listinfo/sipx-users sipXecs IP PBX -- http://www.sipfoundry.org/
