I was never able to get my 53i to register with sipX. Technically it's possible but I never delved more deeply into it because I only have one of them and I didn't feel the time I would spend trying to get it working was worth it.
How many 57i's do you have? They aren't known to be particularly sipX friendly (no BLF, no MoH) so if you have a lot of them perhaps it's not in your best interest to pursue sipX. The best phones for sipX are Polycom, Nortel 11xx, 12xx, and 15xx phones, and Snom phones, in that order. If you only have one or two for a test bed, then return them if possible and get some Polycom 550's. Josh Patten Assistant Network Administrator Brazos County IT Dept.
