Is there a way within sipx to receive the 10 digit caller-id from the telco
(using pri gateway now) and in this instance, within two different area
codes, specify certain NXX's strip the NPA off before sending them back out
via the phone?

Example: Polycom 650 receives call from 434-202-1234, this is a local call.
TELCO says dial 7 digits. Looking for a rule that says 434-202-xxxx is
modified to 202-xxx and sent when dialed. BUT 434-998-1234 is long distance
and needs to be dialed as 434-998-1234.

NOT ALL 434 (NOA) numbers are local. I have a list of two different NPA's
with NXX's that are local.

Looking through the custom rules, I don;t see a way to specify all the
different NXX's without creating an individual rule.

Alternately I might do this in the gateway or by asking the TELCO for a
modification. What I am wondering is if there is a way in sipXconfig dial
plans to do this easily or not.

Any ideas?
