upgraded the firewall, and all is well, however:
it looks like voip.ms is NOT SIP compliant in the respect of looking at the invite/register string which clearly had the public ip:5080 in it, and (even skype worked) and they bound to the port that made the first outbound register.

I am using user/auth, but will switch to ip based since there is less traffic and not worries about registration timeouts.

so, anyone asking about sonicwall firewalls and sipx, they need the latest firmware. nothing else needed to be done, I have NOT set 'consistant nat', yet and I don't have ALG (they call it sip transformations) on the voip.ms side I don't have nat enabled (since sipxbridge is doing that already)

calls are clear, and life is beautiful again.
