I have a voip.ms in the event I become paddle-less.

I would keep a copy of the current AC config. Upgrade to 5.6 and let sipx
generate a config and it it does not work a line by line compare will be the
best first step.

I don;t mess with the AC's, i prefer another that i find works well for me.
I know from posts upgrading the AC firmware can sometimes result in a lot of
issues, so being able to revert firmware and upload you old config is a
must.
