There is a separation of ports using sipxbridge:

port 5060 - remote users
port 5080 - trunks

Depending on your carrier, they will send the calls on whatever port you
register on (ex: voip.ms). With ITSp's that use IP based ACL, you configure
your account for them to send the calls on a specific port. (ex:
bandwidth.com defaults to port 5080, but you can change it in your portal to
5080).

Typically outbound calls to the itsp would not have to use 5060, but I think
if level3 is that inflexible, i'm not sure if it matters unless you are
using an external sbc, in which case none of the above applies anymore.

For example: Our ingates can trunk and handle remote users. Both on port
5060. Internally, the devices have two different Ip addresses and one is
used as a gateway IP and the others is what shows in registrations for
remote users. Different SBC's function differently though.
