I recall there was an openid plugin that needed some work. The goal was to have a user pick forum or email or both, two way updates in either direction.
Once I needed to find a nugget on information and sipfoundry was down... I did a simple search in my email (google apps) and found it, since I get the emails and never delete them, plus google search runs against it. my own little treasure trove of data...
