I guess I just want too much. The volume of email was bearable when there was no more than ~20 messages a day. It's gotten to the point where it takes up a lot more of my time to sort through and respond to mailing lists posts (I want to contribute, I really do, but it's getting difficult).
I was hoping others were getting annoyed by this as well, and hopefully someone would have a suggestion to help organize/categorize all these posts into an easily searchable format that doesn't require a mailing list subscription. -----Original Message----- From: [email protected] [mailto:[email protected]] On Behalf Of Flatfender Sent: Friday, August 13, 2010 12:58 PM To: sipx-users Subject: Re: [sipx-users] Mailing list or forum On Fri, Aug 13, 2010 at 1:46 PM, Douglas Hubler <[email protected]> wrote: > On Fri, Aug 13, 2010 at 1:31 PM, Matthew Kitchin (public/usenet) > <[email protected]> wrote: >> This one works well >> http://community.zenoss.org/community/forums >> I'm trying to poke around and see if it shows what they are using. I pretty much read all posts to sipx-users right now b/c it doesn't take that much time in email. If I had to click through each forum post and wait for those 60 posts to load, I probably wouldn't bother. Fortunately it seems that keeping email functionality is a requirement for forum migration. I do however agree with the idea or perma-links. Though let's not forget a lot of users don't search well and the same questions get asked repeatedly, though sipx is moving at a pace that makes the old links outdated it seems. Why can't we just have the perfect solution - lol Matt P. _______________________________________________ sipx-users mailing list [email protected] List Archive: http://list.sipfoundry.org/archive/sipx-users/ _______________________________________________ sipx-users mailing list [email protected] List Archive: http://list.sipfoundry.org/archive/sipx-users/
