Sorry for the re-post, but I received no response from the web forum so
I'm sending this to the mailing list in hopes of getting help.

I'm new to SipX and have completed a fresh install of 4.2.1 from the
CentOS/SipX iso. I've successfully setup a kphone soft phone - so far so
good. I'm trying to get an Aastra 6730i hard phone setup. Receiving a
call from the soft phone works flawlessly. Dialing 0 or 101 works from
the 6730i and I can both listen to and record vmail from it as well. I
can not, however, call the soft phone. When I try, I get a "Call Failed"
error. The failed call is logged in SipX under Diagnostics-->Call Detail
Records.

Since I am only trying to perform a ext to ext call, I am not going out
to the PSTN, nor am I going through a ITSP. Since everything is attached
to the same sub-net, there are no firewall issues nor are there NAT
issues - at least as far as I understand things there should not be.

Since the 6730i is not supported through the GUI, I did the following:

    * Created a new user
    * Chose Aastra 53i from the new phone drop-down.
    * Added the phone to the user
    * Manually configured the 6730i with user ext/sip password info via
      its web gui.
    * Rebooted the phone
    * Checked registration - line 1 & line 2 registered successfully

Anyone have any suggestions on how to get 6730i to dial another ext
other than 0 & 101?

Stiles
