You can simply setup a PC with wireshark on it and then setup port mirror from
the phone in question to the PC.

Wireshark can decode the RTP and provide a complete capture. Works well, we
have used this method several times when we needed to monitor a single
extension for long periods of time.

If you want to monitor everything take a look at this project.
http://sourceforge.net/projects/our/

Its simplier then oreka but works with a single nic and has a simple arch that
we have been able to customize easily and add features.

Hi,

Is there a way to reliably capture media streams from calls, in the
case where we were to get a wiretap subpoena?

After following an earlier thread about setting up the Intranet
Subnets correctly, I realized that all the media from my calls was
passing through the sipx servers. I changed this and now media flows
peer-to-peer. I do wonder however if there is a way to tell a
particular phone to pass media through the server? Can the
auto-recording feature of conferences be used?

Kyle
