The exact version of sipx makes a difference. Make sure you are running the latest 4.2.1 (if you are using 4.2.x) from download.sipfoundry.org.
If this happens again: top -U sipxchange You need to see if you have a CPU issue (usage) or perhaps you have started to use SWAP... Separately, there has been some chatter about JAVA, RAM and setting some options for how much RAM is being used by JAVA at any given time, etc. So in the meantime you'll want to check that out and look at making those settings in the event the issue arises again (or to possibly prevent it).
