sipXecs quit working on me again sometime during the night. My Polycom SoundPoint IP 321 phone displays "Uri call is disabled" when I try to go off hook. Soft phones such as twinkle get "registration failed: 408 Request Timeout". The web config frontend seems to work fine. It shows the phone registration as expired. On the System->Servers->Services page it shows all services as "Running" with a green check mark. The page "Internal SBC Statistics" shows all gateways as "AUTHENTICATED". my setup: sipXecs 4.2.1 4 GB RAM x86_64 I used the sipXecs ISO to install originally # uname -a Linux sip.joeconway.com 2.6.18-194.17.1.el5 #1 SMP Wed Sep 29 12:50:31 EDT 2010 x86_64 x86_64 x86_64 GNU/Linux > If this happens again: > > top -U sipxchange Sorry for the poor wrap, but below is the top output: # top -U sipxchange top - 08:28:58 up 5 days, 15:22, 1 user, load average: 0.09, 0.12, 0.12 Tasks: 125 total, 1 running, 123 sleeping, 0 stopped, 1 zombie Cpu(s): 0.3%us, 0.2%sy, 0.0%ni, 99.5%id, 0.0%wa, 0.0%hi, 0.0%si, 0.0%st Mem: 4043996k total, 3536120k used, 507876k free, 277316k buffers Swap: 6289436k total, 1972k used, 6287464k free, 917192k cached PID USER PR NI VIRT RES SHR S %CPU %MEM TIME+ COMMAND 26342 sipxchan 18 0 1338m 86m 9876 S 0.3 2.2 13:08.89 java 26504 sipxchan 15 0 1073m 878m 4824 S 0.3 22.2 35:06.33 sipXproxy 22318 sipxchan 15 0 136m 2868 1124 S 0.0 0.1 0:00.00 httpd 22319 sipxchan 15 0 136m 2880 1124 S 0.0 0.1 0:00.00 httpd 22320 sipxchan 15 0 136m 2300 608 S 0.0 0.1 0:00.00 httpd 22321 sipxchan 15 0 136m 2300 608 S 0.0 0.1 0:00.00 httpd 22322 sipxchan 15 0 136m 2300 608 S 0.0 0.1 0:00.00 httpd 24708 sipxchan 18 0 260m 8712 5356 S 0.0 0.2 0:01.83 sipxsupervisor 24944 sipxchan 18 0 121m 4304 2808 S 0.0 0.1 0:06.92 sipxpresence 24998 sipxchan 15 0 100m 24m 2724 S 0.0 0.6 0:10.46 sipxconfig-agen 25068 sipxchan 18 0 209m 4188 2736 S 0.0 0.1 0:04.97 sipstatus 25114 sipxchan 19 0 1305m 42m 9504 S 0.0 1.1 0:04.32 java 25116 sipxchan 15 0 105m 25m 3040 S 0.0 0.6 1:15.70 ruby 25189 sipxchan 18 0 116m 4708 2752 S 0.0 0.1 0:06.52 sipxacd 25237 sipxchan 18 0 121m 4000 2836 S 0.0 0.1 0:06.61 sipxpark 25256 sipxchan 18 0 217m 30m 5352 S 0.0 0.8 0:55.25 freeswitch 25281 sipxchan 18 0 1312m 71m 9700 S 0.0 1.8 0:11.77 java 25287 sipxchan 18 0 65200 16m 2220 S 0.0 0.4 0:48.10 mrtg 25357 sipxchan 18 0 221m 5044 3424 S 0.0 0.1 4:38.65 sipxrls 25382 sipxchan 18 0 1300m 26m 9400 S 0.0 0.7 0:02.57 java 25540 sipxchan 18 0 1308m 55m 9632 S 0.0 1.4 0:09.15 java 25592 sipxchan 18 0 1397m 562m 12m S 0.0 14.2 1:51.10 java 25640 sipxchan 18 0 1326m 91m 9704 S 0.0 2.3 0:11.08 java 25738 sipxchan 20 0 1315m 61m 11m S 0.0 1.6 0:05.14 java 25870 sipxchan 18 0 87936 3560 2640 S 0.0 0.1 0:00.49 sipxsaa 25910 sipxchan 18 0 248m 5876 3812 S 0.0 0.1 4:25.90 sipregistrar 26126 sipxchan 18 0 0 0 0 Z 0.0 0.0 0:00.05 sipxopenfire.sh <defunct> 26212 sipxchan 18 0 1321m 92m 9780 S 0.0 2.3 11:00.33 java 26289 sipxchan 25 0 1416m 123m 10m S 0.0 3.1 25:11.88 java > You need to see if you have a CPU issue (usage) or perhaps you have > started to use SWAP... Shows no excessive CPU or RAM use as far as I can tell. sipXecs has a ton of logs -- is there any specific log I ought to be focusing on to diagnose this issue? Anything else I should do before restarting the service?
